I see they are sponsored by BMW. Do any serious world travelers ride any other brand? Oh boy, I know I'll get some grief for that comment (see here). Seriously though, I've wondered about this. I'd like to ride the length of South America someday and I can't imagine doing that trip on anything besides a BMW F650GS (the R1150GS/R1200GS I find too large). I can't really think of any other bike that I'd seriously consider.

Some very nice pictures and stories on their web site. They could really use some work on the design though. Great content, but wow; they should fire their tech guy.
